'Antim Sanaskar Helpline' in service of
unclaimed dead bodies
A helpline service christened as "Antim Sanaskar Helpline" has come up in Bhopal to undertake the last rites of those bodies which are unclaimed or of the have-nots who die in destitution so as to give them at least an honourable farewell in death. This helpline service will run under the aegis of a newly-formed organisation known as Jansanvedna Kalyan Samiti. The main aim of the committee is to help in performing the last rites properly of the deceased whose bodies remain unclaimed or people dying in destitution. The activists of this organisation on receipt of information of any such deaths where the body is unclaimed or the person has died in destitution would immediately become active and reach the spot where the dead body is lying and take it into their custody. The activists would then take the body to crematorium or graveyard (Qabristan) as the case may be after arranging for "Kafan" (shroud), cloth, wood and other necessary items. The Jansanvedna Kalyan Samiti members have appealed to the public to extend their moral and monetary support and help in carry out this helpline social service smoothly without any hindrance. The following persons of Jansanvedna Kalyan Samiti may be contacted in this connection which include: Rajesh Upadhyay (9993000050), R. S. Agarwal (9826013975), Rajesh Chaturvedi (9826610628), Vanshidhar Dhoot (9425004928) and Manmohan Kurapa (9424419364).
